Wet , Windy Wednesday
Melbourne is experiencing an unseasonal cold snap.
The glorious days of Autumn are but a memory as the temperatures plummet , rain falls and wind squalls chill our extremities.
Time to get out the long pants and boots .Gloves , hats and scarfs are required especially early in the morning.
Our favourite coat may shout ‘ last season ‘ but who cares if it keeps us warm !
The good thing about winter is the hot chocolate , open fire and an excuse to indulge in a few treats as all those layers hide an extra kilo or two!

Designer labels often have unusual names . The name is often not their own name or appears to have little relevance to the item they produce.

A modern example would be Sportsgirl. Women everywhere buy and wear their clothes and accessories .Their range of clothing is not typified by their name, rather what they sell is the antithesis of sporting , sport or sporty .Even girl is not appropriate as they cater to women of all ages.
Charlie Brown the women’s wear manufacturer uses her name to great effect . Not only is it the popular cartoon character immortalised by creator Charles Schulz it lends itself to her very popular designer label of women’s clothing .

Nine West , the Women’s Shoe Manufacturer , is another popular label that has forged its brand . Again the relevance of numbers and a direction to women’s shoes seems remote .
A pair of shoes , a dress , a bag or belt can be made of finest materials from an original design but the one that sells will often be the one that is made by a known popular name.
